855 scholarships for Vietnamese students in Russia

These scholarships were announced by Russian science and culture center in Hanoi. In the press conference on September 30, the center introduced the programme named “Russian Universities”, a long-term educational project hosted by the Russian Federal Cooperation Agency and Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. 

In 2016, there are 855 scholarships for Vietnamese students granted by Russian Government, higher than the figure of 795 scholarships last year. Russian Government hoped for increasing to 1.000 scholarships in 2018.

At the briefing, the representatives of Russian University including Federal University of Far East, Saint Petersburg National University of Economy, Moscow University of Technique and Physics, Belgorad National University of Art and Culture, Kazan Federal University and Kazan National University of Research and Technology, presented their activities of the 6th stage of this project.

In this phase, Vietnam and Russia would strengthen scientific, educational and friendly relationship. Two parties would create new impetus for Russian projects in Vietnam, especially in the field of technological innovation, mutual benefit cooperation between the scientific research institutes.

During 2 years and a half of project implementation, more than 50 manager boards of Russian Universities visited and worked in Vietnam. Russian educational institutions signed successful cooperation documents with the top Vietnamese Universities.

Currently, these universities got successful linked education programme such as summer camps, exchange of lectures and students, professional development and joint scientific research project etc..
