Every 4 years, foreign researchers present their best findings about Vietnam at the conference. Vietnamese researchers can acquire their scientific knowledge and study methods and establish relations with foreign colleagues.”

The conference outcome will be summarized as reference for the government and ministries in the law-making process. The Organizing Board has proposed the creation of a Center for Vietnam Studies.
