In Ho Chi Minh City, 54 cases came into contact with confirmed patients, whilst the remaining cases are linked to previous outbreaks and or under epidemiological investigation.

Furthermore, the cases detected in other provinces are either F1 contacts with confirmed patients or were detected in sealed off areas, with the individual cases having links to industrial parks.

The new cases thereby bring the national tally up to 16,623, with 1,791 imported cases and 14,832 locally-transmitted infections.

Moreover, June 29 also saw a total of 91,228 people vaccinated against COVID-19 across 26 provinces and cities nationwide.

In addition, 14 provinces have stayed free of COVID-19 for 14 consecutive days amid the fourth outbreak.
