11 Vietnamese universities among QS’s top Asian universities 2022

A total of 11 Vietnamese universities have been listed among the QS Asia University Rankings 2022 (QS AUR) released by the UK’s higher education marketing company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

Ton Duc Thang University topped the group of Vietnamese universities, ranked in 142nd place, closely followed by the Vietnam National University- Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) in 147th, and the VNU-Ho Chi Minh City in 179th.

The list also features Duy Tan University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hue University, Danang University, Can Tho University, Hanoi National University of Education, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, and Industrial University of HCM City, ranked between 200th and 650th.

Elsewhere on the list, the National University of Singapore (NUS) retained its position as Asia’s best educational institution by topping the rankings.

The QS Asia University Rankings 2022 compares a total of 675 universities across the continent and is QS's most extensive independent comparison of the region's higher education system.

The table takes in account 11 key indicators of university performance, which serve to capture academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, international research network, citations per paper, papers per faculty, and staff with a PhD. This is in addition to the proportion of international faculty and proportion of international students, proportion of inbound exchange students, and proportion of outbound exchange students.
