Vietnam considers the US one of its most important partners, the top leader said, expressing his wish that the bilateral relationship will continue to grow in line with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with economic, trade and investment ties as the main engine and sci-tech cooperation as a new breakthrough.

Vietnam and the United States have reactivated contact and exchanges of delegations in an effort to ramp up bilateral co-operation after two years of difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

US President Joe Biden received Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Washington DC on May 12 evening to exchange views on the Vietnam – US relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
